Institute of Chartered Accountants of India popularly known as ICAI always conducts its entrance examination which is most popular among commerce students known as common proficiency test (CPT). well, every year more than 1.5 lakh candidates appear in this examination and near about 15% to 30% tend to clear it. this examination is basically, based on General principals of Accounting, basic of commercial, partnership laws, general economics up to 12th Standard and quantitative aptitude which includes general ability, mental knowledge, reasoning and some mathematics tricks.

Before there was no specific CA CPT Cut off for each subject only candidates were required to get 100 marks from 200 maximum marks to crack this paper.But from previous some attempts the organization has changed the examination pattern, as before more aspirants tend to clear the paper by scoring high in accounting and law and less in quantitative aptitude. now each of them is required to get minimum 30% marks in each subject to get an aggregate of 100 marks. then the only candidate will be declared as passed. well for more knowledge about this aspirants can further go to bottom and find detailed information there.
