it will be conducting Combined Defence ServicesExamination (I), 2024 [for IMA, OTA, NA and AFA] on 7th May 2024 (tentatively). UPSC CDS 1 2024 Exam Online Registration closed on 17th May 2024 . Candidates are required to apply for CDS 2024 exam online through UPSC. Union Public Service commission 2nd Biggest examination after Indian Administrative Services (IAS) is Combined Defense services (CDS). the paper consists of English of 100 marks, General Science of 100 marks and mathematics of 100 marks. paper is divided into 3 parts as explained above. the candidate shall get the break of 1 hour after examination takes place successfully. UPSC CDS 2024 Selection Procedure

The Union public service commission released official notification to fill up online applications for combined defense services examination through a written test which is going to take place in May 2024 .  previously near about 4,00,000 candidates applied and 2,50,000 young aspirants appeared for this examination on 7th Feb 2024 . mainly this paper focus on recruiting candidates to Indian military academy known as IMA. Indian Air Force Academy (IAF), Indian Naval Academy (NA) and the last one is Officers Training Academy (OTA). through OTA candidates can only go to short service commission and through IMA candidates have option to clear permanent and short service both.

basically, OTA exempts candidates from appearing in mathematics examination but via IMA candidates are requested to complete and clear the elementary mathematics exam. candidates must check their respective eligibility criteria before selecting any of the given options. but as we know many of candidates who are in their final year of graduation and have cleared their graduation to apply for this paper. so we assume they are eligible for both IMA and OTA. therefore we request every candidate to fill up form and select IMA as their 1st preference and OTA as second. because if they are not selected as Indian military academy, then they are considered as Officers training academy.  Girls can only apply for OTA.
