Age Limit : 18 years to 40 years as on 01/01/2024. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST is 05 yrs; OBC – 03 yrs, PWD – 10 years and Ex-serviceman/others – as per Govt. norms.
Pay Scale : Rs.5400/- Rs.25200/- other allowances.
Educational Qualification : Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/OBC/ PH/ EC/ Ex-SM candidates) and Two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) and qualified TET.

The West Bengal Primary Education Act promulgated as early as in 1973 and amended from time to time vests in the West Bengal Board of Primary Education the development both in quantitative and qualitative terms, supervision, management and control of the entire primary education in West Bengal.
